On Apr. 15, 1970, Wang Liming (王立明女士) died after three years and eight months in a labor camp. A long-time leader of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union and the widow of martyred educator Henry Liu Zhan’en (刘湛恩校长), she was arrested in Shanghai in Sept. 1966. As she was taken away, her last words to her family were, “I am carrying the cross of Jesus Christ.” Pray for Christians in Shanghai to follow Jesus by denying self and taking up the cross daily. Luke 9:23 "And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."
