On Aug. 13, 1895, William Dean (粦为仁) passed away in the U.S. after serving for 50 years as a Baptist missionary to Chaozhou communities in Bangkok and Hong Kong. He arrived in Bangkok in 1835 and established the Maitrichit Chinese Baptist Church (华侨基督教浸信会心廉礼拜堂) in 1837, known as the first Chinese Protestant church in the world. Dean also produced a heavily annotated Bible translation. Pray for Chinese Christians in Bangkok and Hong Kong to pray without ceasing for world missions. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing…"
